DOES HRA ONLY ACCEPT CHILDREN FROM CHRISTIAN HOMES?
Though a profession of faith is not a requirement for admission, HRA is a Christian school environment in which the gospel of Jesus Christ and biblical principles are taught and incorporated into academic curriculum. We believe that a child should have a personal relationship with Christ, and we will encourage this.
WHAT ARE THE CLASS SIZES AT HRA?
HRA is growing. Our goal is to have no more than 15 students in each classroom/grade level. When a grade level has enough students enrolled to support opening another class at that level, classes will be split to support smaller teacher/student ratios.
ARE ALL OF THE HRA TEACHERS CHRISTIAN?
Yes. It is key to the foundation of the school that our teachers have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It is the job of the faculty to impart academics as well as enriching the lives of the students through helping them to build godly character and grow spiritually in their own walk with the Lord.
DOES HRA PARTICIPATE IN STANDARDIZED TESTING?
Yes. The Stanford Achievement Test is conducted annually in the spring. The scores will be placed in the permanent record of the student and a copy will be mailed to the parents.

No. HRA students are not required to wear a uniform. However, a dress code is in place that must be followed. Dress code guidelines are contained in the Student Handbook.
DO YOU SERVE HOT LUNCH?
At this time we do not have the facilities to prepare and cook hot lunches. However, several microwavable items such as: pizza, chicken nuggets, corn dogs, hamburgers, and chicken sandwiches are available. These items can be ordered at the beginning of the day and will be ready for the student at their designated lunch time. Also available are; chips, ice cream, fruit juice, fruit cups, muffins, white, and chocolate milk, Every other Friday the kids have a special treat and have the opportunity to order Chic-fil-a. The cost is between $5-$7. Nacho Day is held on the alternating Fridays and costs $2.
HOW CAN I CONTACT ADMINISTRATION, TEACHERS, OR STAFF DURING THE SCHOOL DAY?
If you have any questions, you are welcome to contact the HRA office by phone or you can contact the Administrator, Sherry Corbitt M.Ed., via email at email@example.com. We ask that parents do not interrupt the school teaching day to talk to teachers. Teachers will provide parents with their contact information at the beginning of the school year and can be reached to arrange a parent/teacher meeting. Additionally, parent teacher conferences will be scheduled twice throughout the school year.
WHAT IF I STILL HAVE QUESTIONS?
Please feel free to contact the office if you have any other questions. In addition, you are welcome to schedule a school tour or attend one of our open houses. We look forward to sharing with you, the vision that is Hickory Ridge Academy! God is doing great things, and He wants His children to be a part of it. So do we! We look forward to serving you and your child.
Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe. 1 Tim 4:12
