​The before and after school program at HRA is focused on providing a safe and fun environment where students can complete their homework and enjoy time with their friends. Once homework is completed and checked for accuracy by our staff, students are able to relax and choose what they want to play. Typical offerings may include crafts, games, use of approved electronics, or outdoor supervised activities to name a few.  ​

Program Hours: 6 AM - 6 PM

2025-2026 Weekly Rates:

  • Before and After Care (Moyock Elementary) - $95
  • Before and After Care (Shawboro Elementary) - $90
  • ​Before and Aftercare (Hickory Elementary) - $85
  • Before and Aftercare (Hickory Ridge Academy) - $75
The Hickory Ridge before and after school program is founded on faith and strives to reflect the characteristics of Christ through service to children and support to parents. 
Hickory Ridge before and after school program is available to HRA students as well as students who attend public schools. Bus transportation is provided from HRA to and from Hickory area schools. HRA vans are available to transport children to and from Moyock Elementary School. Afternoon care and transportation is available for Shawboro Elementary School.
