Thank you for your interest in Hickory Ridge Academy! HRA is a ministry of Hickory Ridge Community Church which is located in the Hickory area of Chesapeake, Virginia. We are a private, Christian day school which welcomes all students. It provides a specialized academic environment along with the tools required for general education students as well as students who, through history or evaluation, have experienced difficulty in traditional methods of education or school settings.
Teachers and staff recognize that knowledge is sanctioned by God and each child is a blessing from Him. HRA respects the individual and unique learning style of children and strives to assist all students in reaching his or her full potential.
The academic programs will serve Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 8 using a team-teaching approach that utilizes a multi-modality teaching style.
